Is GenIE a standalone app or an integration?

GenIE is delivered via API and integrates into your existing mobile banking app or web portal. It enhances the experience customers already know. No separate app, no re onboarding, no rip and replace of your current stack. Available to UK banks from July 2026, with adaptations for other markets shaped per region on the roadmap.

How does GenIE ensure the accuracy of its conversational answers?

GenIE is built on top of Snowdrop's enrichment API, the Merchant Resolution System (MRS), which provides 99.9%+ accuracy in transaction enrichment. Conversational answers are grounded in this enriched data layer and your own internal banking data, rather than generated freely from raw transaction text. The result is reliable, traceable responses, not hallucinated guesses.

Does GenIE store sensitive personal financial data?

GenIE is designed around data minimisation. It operates on enriched transaction context and metadata to generate insights, with raw PII processing scoped to the minimum necessary for each use case. Your customer data also stays your customer data: GenIE does not feed customer information into upstream model training, and does not retain queries for cross customer learning. Full data flow documentation and DPIA support is available for procurement teams.

What does integration look like, and how long does it take?

A typical engagement runs from a 4 to 6 week proof of concept on anonymised data through to phased production rollout. Reference architectures are available for both bank hosted and Snowdrop hosted deployment, depending on your data custody requirements.

Where is GenIE hosted, and what about data residency?

GenIE supports client hosting regions. Customer data does not leave the region of operation. Bank controlled deployment options are available for institutions with stricter data custody requirements.
